What Inspires Kim

In order to inspire others, I definitely have to have things and people that inspire me.  So, here they are!



 Kim's Top 10 Inspirations

 

10. Marie Forleo

 

Although I don't care for her occasional "potty mouth", Marie inspires me by being a woman in business that knows how to keep it informative and interesting. 






9. Eric Thomas

 

 I'll admit that when my husband introduced ET the Hip-hop Preacher to me, I was pretty skeptical.  I mean I instantly thought, "Why is he talking so loud!" lol.  However, after really taking time to listen to him, he really says what we all need to hear.






8. The Success Principles by Jack Canfield

This book is what made me understand the passion that has always been in my heart.  I've always been passionate about going for your dreams, but this book gave actual steps to get there.  It's a great and easy read!

7. The Shower

 My best ideas come to me when I'm in the shower.  I think it's because it's the only time that I get uninterrupted time from my kids lol!  I always say a prayer and reflect on whatever is going on in my life.  It's amazing how a little hot water and steam can get your creativity flowing!






6. Reality Show Contests

Call me cheesy, but there's nothing more inspiring than watching someone going on t.v. and going for their dreams.  American Idol, The Voice, X-Factor... I'm a sucker for all of them because I love seeing someone like you and me lay their heart out for what they've always wanted.  Then to watch the process of them going from a dreamer to a star gets me every time!!!  Okay, okay, and I also like to laugh at (ahem)... I mean watch the first  audition episodes with the weird people whose mom's always told them they were a star. ;)

 

5. Beyoncé

How do I love B?  Let me count the ways.  Beyoncé is beautiful, talented, a business woman, wife and mother.  I mean her singing ability alone is worth its own inspiration, but seeing her level of excellence to stay relevant and true to her craft is SO inspiring.  You never have to ask if she is going to give her best.  She always does.  You don't have to wonder if she's lip singing.  She's too authentic not to. Overall, she's the entire package and her music just moves me!






4. My Bestie

We all need to someone to laugh with, cry on, share inside jokes and dance to Beyoncé to.  Well, this is my girl!  She's there for anything that I need and makes me a better person just by being herself. 






3. My Parents

What can I say?  Without them, there literally would be no me.  It's more than that, my parents have not only given me a wonderful childhood, but many success tools that have made me who I am today.  With a dad that's been on Oprah and a mom that's literally a superwoman, I have no choice but to be great!






2. My family

How can those beautiful faces not make you want to give your best at life!?!  My kids are the reason I live.  I am who I am because I refuse for my kids to see me be anything less.  I'm going for my dreams so that they can go for their dreams some day.  As for my husband, w ell, if it weren't for him, I wouldn't realize my own worth.  He came into my life to remind me what I share with others everyday.  That I am beautiful and brilliant in my own way and I have a message that God needs me to deliver to the world!  As much as I love them, I still have something even MORE inspirational...

1. Jesus Christ

 

One man saved this entire world.  Nothing that I can say or do can ever repay the debt that I owe Him.  So, I live daily to do my best to try.  I'm not always where I need to be, but I'm trying to live for Him.  If you get nothing from me, please get this, a life without Christ is not a life worth living.  Follow Christ and you will receive the ultimate success: living with Him for eternity.
